One of the first pictures that come to mind when you mention Okoboji, is Arnold’s Park Amusement Park. Situated on the shores of West Lake Okoboji, it is the oldest amusement park west of the Mississippi.
The Dickinson County Trails System consists of 16 miles of hard surfaced trails running through the heart of the Lakes Area. It provides a place to walk, run, bicycle, rollerblade and more.
One of the most popular attractions in the Lakes Area is the Okoboji Summer Theatre. Students from Stephens College, one of the leading undergraduate theatre programs in the nation, star in nine plays and musicals each summer.
Founded in 1965 by area artists who yearned for a place to paint and exchange ideals, the Pearson Lakes Art Center has grown from a small country barn to a contemporary year round facility.
